How to properly divide the portions?
If you choose BF Petfood as your dog's sole daily ration, here's how to divide the portions so your little dog doesn't end up with a few extra kilos:
3kg: 1 sausage per day,
8kg: 2 sausages per day,
13kg: 3 sausages per day.
Please note that this is a 90g sausage (1 sausage = 1 serving). Furthermore, if your 8kg pet eats two meals a day, you can give them 1 sausage in the morning and 1 sausage in the evening.
There are specific cases that require greater precision from us: puppies, pregnant/nursing female dogs, and dogs that are very active. They need a higher nutritional intake than the average dog, so you can double the number of sausages they feed daily. The pregnant female dog will need all her energy to provide strength and health to her puppies, and the puppies will need more calories to develop their muscles and joints. However, puppies between 5 and 10 months old no longer have the same nutritional needs, so you can reduce their ration by 0.5, or 1.5 times the basic adult ration.
